The Long Walk: Tears of the Navajo

The Long Walk: Tears of the Navajo

The year was 1864. Thousands of Navajos were marched to a barren reservation in New Mexico near the Texas border called Bosque Redondo. It was called The Long Walk. Many died along the way and during their four-year incarceration. It is one of the most important stories of the American West, a story of heartbreak and triumph through enormous adversity. The boarding school aftermath would shake their identity.
